Privacy policy
HarmonicGlyph is built to analyze music locally on the device whenever possible. This policy explains what the app processes, what it does not collect, and how the data is handled.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Scope
This policy applies to the HarmonicGlyph mobile app and the associated support website. The app is designed for chord analysis, song structure detection, lyrics display, stem separation, and PDF export.
Information the app processes
- Audio files selected by the user for analysis.
- Microphone audio when the microphone analysis mode is used.
- Analysis results such as chords, sections, lyrics, metadata, and history entries stored on the device.
- Exported PDF files created from song analysis.
- Optional local model files downloaded to improve on-device analysis, when available.
How the app uses that information
- To detect chords, song structure, and related musical features.
- To display the analysis timeline, lyrics, and structure inside the app.
- To keep a local history of previous analyses so they can be reopened.
- To generate and share a PDF report when the user requests it.
- To download or use local model files needed for stem separation or analysis fallback modes.
What the app does not do
- It does not require a user account to use the core app.
- It does not sell personal data.
- It does not use audio files for advertising purposes.
- It does not need to send your music to a server for chord or structure analysis when local analysis is available.
Storage and retention
- Analysis history stays on the device unless the user deletes it.
- Exported PDFs remain on the device or in the location the user chooses to share them.
- Audio files remain where the user stored them.
- Deleting the app or clearing app data removes the local history and app-managed data stored by HarmonicGlyph.
Permissions
- Storage or media access is used to open audio files chosen by the user.
- Microphone access is used only when the user starts microphone analysis.
- Notification and foreground-service permissions may be used to keep long-running analysis visible to the user.
Third-party services
- The app is designed to perform analysis on-device and does not rely on third-party analytics for the core features.
- Some app functionality may depend on local libraries, model files, or Android system services.
- If you contact support by email, your message will be handled by the email provider you use to send it.
Children
HarmonicGlyph is not intended for children under 13, and it is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app changes or if legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
